Medical Assistant (Contract) – Occupational Health Support  
Location: Mobile, AL  
Pay: $20.00/hr  
Schedule: Must be flexible to work day or night shift

We are seeking a Medical Assistant/EMT to support an onsite Occupational Health team at a large industrial facility. This contract position will provide first aid support, employee health services, medical documentation, and injury/illness response.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide basic first aid and medical support for employees experiencing workplace injuries or illnesses
– Perform initial assessments, triage, take vital signs, and assist with emergency response
– Administer basic treatments, dressings, OTC medications, and follow-up care as directed
– Support injury documentation, medical records, and compliance tracking
– Assist with employee health programs, screenings, wellness initiatives, and health education
– Support pre-employment physicals, drug screens, vision screenings, and hearing tests
– Maintain confidentiality of employee medical information
– Assist with maintaining medical supplies, inventory, and department records

Qualifications:
– Current Medical Assistant certification, EMT certification, or higher medical credential required
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to make basic first aid decisions independently
– Experience with medical documentation, filing, and administrative tasks
– Proficient with basic computer skills (Word/Excel preferred)

Requirements:
– Must be able to work any shift (days or nights)
– Must pass background check and drug screening
– Must be able to work in an industrial environment including walking, standing, climbing, and navigating active work areas

  • May construct and install instrument panels, using hand tools, rulers, dividers, and power drills,
