COMPENSATION: $38.00 per hour
SIGN ON BONUS: $1000
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret blueprints / basic drawings to understand weld symbols.
- Have the ability to work in confined spaces.
- New Construction opportunities available.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- Pass all approved A-Class Pipe Welder Tests.
- Must have a minimum of 5 year's of experience as a marine Pipe Welder.
- Must be experienced with Tig on Copper Nickel and Stainless and Carbon
- Drug screen and background check required.
- 60 + HOURS PER WEEK
- NO RAINOUTS

- 2″ CUNI 90/10 pipe – RN 67 Filler Material
- All Tig full purge
- 3″ Carbon Steel Sch 80 – 309 Filler Material Stainless Steel.
- All TIG Full Purge

A Class Pipe Fitter
FirstFour is looking for Pipe Fitters to join our team at a major shipyard in Mobile, Alabama.
COMPENSATION: $37.00 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine layouts.
- Cut openings for pipes into modules / vessel using hand tools.
- Must be able to measure, cut, thread, bend, and install pipe.
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- Pass approved A-Class Pipe Fitter Test.
- Must have a minimum of 5 year's of experience as a marine Pipe Fitter.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, a tape measure, and know/understand all necessary formulas to carry out your work.
- Drug screen and background check required.
A Class Structural Fitter
FirstFour is looking for night shift Structrual Fitters to join our team at a major shipyard in Mobile, Alabama, Day Shift – 50 hours
COMPENSATION: $34.00 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technically proficient in tasks, work processes, and equipment operation.
- Accountable for completion of daily work assignments including the completion and signatures for work completion and quality.
- Creates a working environment compliant with quality, safety, environmental, and health regulations and policies.
- Rigs plates and equipment safely.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization on assigned job sites.
- Accountable for completion of daily work assignments including the completion and signatures for work completion and quality.
- Performs safe and effective use of craft related tools and equipment, including but not limited to: millers, sanders, grinders, burr motors, band saws, skill saws, saws all, come along and chain falls etc.
- Obtain GMAW ABS ‘B’ Class Weld Certification for aluminum applications.
- Performs basic layout of plates, materials and weldments using basic engineering sketches, drawings, and diagrams with minimal supervision.
- Performs ship fitting functions such as but not limited to fit up of structure, cutting, sniping, sanding, grinding, prepping, tacking and the fit up of plates with minimum supervision.
- Performs fitting operations with limited supervision using standard ship fitting equipment to accomplish fabrication and ship repair duties.
- Monitors working environment for compliance with quality, safety, environmental and health regulations.
- Must be willing to work with and train lower-skilled workers.
- May be assigned to work any shift.
- May be assigned additional tasks including outside the craft as required.
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
- Pass approved A-Class Fitter Test.
- Must demonstrate ability to interpret and work from construction drawings, job specifications, instruction manuals, manufacturer’s handbooks, change order, and contract specifications.
- Thorough knowledge of equipment, work processes and techniques used in measuring, and fitting of aluminum components, modules and vessels.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and measure using the metric system.
- Knowledge of shipyard terminology such as general ship structure and vessel layout.
- Knowledge of edge preparation and weld joint details.
- Advanced working knowledge of engineering drawings and sketches.
- Drug screen and background check required.
1st Class Structural Welder
Our client is looking for Welders to join their team at a major shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Contract is 1 year.
Compensation:
1st Class – $42.00 per hour plus $147.04 in daily per diem
Must be 75 miles from the yard with a utility bill for perdiem
Light, gas or water bill in your name.
Must be able to pass a Hair Follicle Drug test
Qualified Candidates:
- Should have a minimum of 5 years marine experience.
- Must be proficient with SMAW and FCAW
- Must be able to read blueprints.
- Must have experience welding in the 2G, 3G, and 4G positions.
- Be able to pass a vertical open butt on a 1/4-inch plate with metal backing strap.
- US Citizenship or Perm Resident is required for this Navy yard.
