Our Customer, a major shipyard in the Mobile area, is looking to add a Logistics Associate I to their team in Loxley, AL and their main facility in Mobile, AL.

Compensation: $16.00 per hour (this is a temp to perm position)

Must be able to operate a forklift (standup and sit down), work a variety of lifts, be able to operate company vehicles (as needed), load and unload deliveries, manage inventory through various systems and handheld devices, and tag parts.

Qualified candidates will have experience with the above, in addition to:

  • 2 Year's Warehouse Experience
  • Prior Logistician experience a plus
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Be able to pass drug screen and background requirements

Safety Representative

Our client, a major shipyard in Mobile, is looking for a Safety Representative to join their team.

Compensation: $19.50 per hour

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the HS&E Department in ensuring compliance with Company Safety Policies, Fire and Flooding Plan, Corporate, State, and Federal regulations and guidelines regarding occupational safety & health.
  • Works with employees at the shipyard on safety issues and when employees request assistance on a variety of safety and risk/accident prevention concerns.
  • Performs site and equipment inspections, assists in the completion of accident investigations, and safety inspections.
  • Perform safety surveys to identify and evaluate occupational health, safety and environmental conditions.
  • Responsible for performing comprehensive on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • One (1) to three (3) years of related EHS experience and/or combination of education and experience.
  • Prior military, police or professional fire service may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Demonstrated skills in the working standards, concepts, practices, and procedures within the health, safety and environmental fields.
  • Must possess working industry knowledge and have basic OSHA safety training certifications in one of the following work groups, 29 CFR 1915, 1910 or 1926.
  • Must possess or have the desire and ability to complete an OSHA and NFPA training in order to be recognized as a marine competent person for hot work inspections.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (training/presentations/report writing.
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels within the organization and the ability to work in a diverse work group.
  • Must possess or have the desire and ability to obtain with-in six (6) months from date of hire to complete a medical first responder course
  • Must possess the willingness and ability to work in close and confined spaces.
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift, inclusive of Holidays and work in “On Call” Situations.
  • Must have the ability to remain calm, unemotional and in control when faced with angry or confrontational employees.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated beginner level or higher PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Publisher and Adobe products.

Preferred:

  • OSHA Outreach training as it relates to Shipyard Industry – Considered a Plus but not necessary to apply for job.

Generator Technician

Schedule:
40 hours per week 

This is an integral role that assist with pre-start, start-up, commissioning, and testing diesel and gas generators, in addition to all customer testing and final QC inspections..  Maintaining a high awareness of technical changes in the industry, this role will attend training sessions as required to retain certifications.      

Skills / Experience:

  • Attention to detail is a MUST
  • Must have 5+ years as a Generator Technician
    • CAT experience a plus!
  • Autodesk software experience (2D & 3D)
  • CNC Programming knowledge is a plus
  • Steel fabrication knowledge / experience

Compensation:
$17.00 per hour to begin, will roll permanent to the company after 90 days and will be eligible for increase.

Schedule:
7:30am – 4:30pm M-F, occasional OT (typically work will start earlier in the morning when OT is required)

Qualified Candidates:

  • Preparing/ staging material for production, including the necessary wet and dry consumables, tooling/ equipment, and paint kits in accordance with regulatory, customer, manufacturer, and company standards;
  • Stock checks following project completion;
