FirstFour Staffing is looking for a responsible candidate to become a Materials Controller for a Mobile-based aviation company. This role will oversee all material (consumables, solvents, paint, tooling, equipment, etc.) readiness on a daily and per project basis.
Essential Duties: The Materials Controller is directly responsible for:
Maintaining paint stores, paint mixing room, consumables room, tooling room, graphics room, and supply stores to regulatory, customer, and company standards at all times;
Receiving material shipments, performing receiving inspections, and warehousing and managing inventories;
Preparing/ staging material for production, including the necessary wet and dry consumables, tooling/ equipment, and paint kits in accordance with regulatory, customer, manufacturer, and company standards;
Stock checks following project completion;
Performing inventory and setup of employee issued equipment.
Barge cleaning, maintenance, and cleaning including high pressure hosing, shoveling and pulling buckets of debris. Pumping water out of tanks. This job requires frequent walking, standing, stair climbing, and ladder climbing.
Our Customer in Loxley is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. A qualified candidate will be upbeat, a self-starter, have the flexibility to cover early evening shifts (when needed), and overall have a level of attention to detail that will help to keep the level of quality at a high standard.

Shift
Monday – Friday 6am – 3:30pm (45 hours per week)
There is a rotation to cover the evening shift a few days per week where you would cover 3-4 hours into the night shift, but those additional hours typically come off your Friday time to make up for it (every 2-3 weeks)
Compensation
$15.00 / hour starting pay
Eligible for two increases your first year…once when you roll permanent and another at your annual evaluation
An Inside Manual Machinist fabricates machine components such as shafts, rudder stockers, stern tubes, etc. PLEASE NOTE: THE MACHINIST FABRICATES STEEL WITH MANUAL METAL MILLS, LATHES AND DRILL PRESSES, NOT CNC MACHINES.
Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of manual/CNC experience. Must be able to operate manual mills, lathe, and drill presses. Able to use measuring tools (dial calipers and micrometers). Able to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and work instructions.
Responsibilities:
Review the work order requirements and drawings, obtain fixtures and tools for preparation.
Set up and operate manual lathes/mills to perform a variety of machining operations.
Use manual tools to drill, tap, polish, lap, debur and degrease.
Our client, a prominent steel manufacturing organization located north of Mobile, is seeking to add a Safety Representative to their team.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health and safety or a related discipline, or a combination of post-secondary education and related experience
2+ years of safety experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong understanding of OSHA, NPFA, ANSI and other applicable regulatory requirements
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential matters

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides support in all aspects of Health and Safety including SAP notifications, permitting, compliance documentation / tracking, and Safety communications
Leads or assists in completing various internal safety projects
Documents, analyzes, evaluates, and prepares charts for various safety and health measurables such as monthly man hours, incidents, Safety KPIs, OSHA logs, and other safety related data
Promotes health and wellness awareness for the entire site for blood drives, health fairs, company safety and health events
Conducts audits to ensure compliance to safety requirements for the site; works closely with management to develop and implement safety goals for improvement in area of responsibility and tracks progress of same
Participates and/or leads incident investigations to determine root cause and effective corrective actions
Provides guidance to management regarding project and equipment design and construction
Maintains and/or develops safety programs as needed including implementation and training
Working in the barge repair facility in the New Orleans area, the Welder will support the repair operations of this facility from 7:00am until 5:30pm Monday thru Thursday, and 7:00am until 3:30pm on Friday. Candidates should have 3 years or more experience stick welding in a shipyard environment.
All approved candidates will be required to take and pass a stick welding test in the vertical / overhead position on mild steel with one pass root and cap, no grinder.
Additional duties include:
Weld components according to blueprints
Verify components welded meet company tolerances
Daily setup and equipment for each task
Grind and finish all welds
Perform daily maintenance and upkeep to assigned work areas
Attend and participate in daily safety meetings and promote a safe work environment
Working in a manufacturing facility in East Montgomery supporting maintenance for railroad track construction and maintenance, the Mig Welder assists with some fabrication by cutting, burning, and (primarily) welding various metals from prints and orders. Plans work procedure, tools, and material requirements for job. Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and welds parts to spec.
Work schedule is 4x10s, Monday through Thursday with OT typically available on Friday.
