Skills / Qualifications:
Read and interpret schematics
Have the ability to solder and crimp
Be able to perform point to point wiring
Must be able to test, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance of wiring
Experience with equipment manufacturing is a plus, but not required.
Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 10 hours per day Friday, occasional overtime Day shift only

A qualified candidate will have the ability to perform various production assembly tasks such as bolting, attaching hose fittings and positioning parts to insert fasteners with the use of hand tools, small power tools, overhead crane. May refer to blueprints/drawings.

Utilizes the Production Schedule Report in due date order to produce production on schedule.
Exceptions will be communicated by production control or operations manager.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use math to perform
Must have a good understanding of angles and tolerances.
Must be able to operate, install tooling and set-up mechanical and hydraulic press brakes.
Must be able to perform visual inspection and dimensional inspection using calipers and
basic measuring tools.
Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on presses as required.
Maintains work area in clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.
Must have a working command of the English language, and be able to communicate orally and in writing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Good computer, math and science skills
Valid driver’s license (clean MVR)
Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug/alcohol test
Willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Must have a good attitude, attention to detail, and able to get along well with others
Write required reports legibly and accurately
Have reliable transportation and be punctual
At least one year of construction experience preferred
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for field sampling and testing of asphalt, concrete and soils and the field inspection of miscellaneous construction activities such as logging piles, vibration monitoring, etc. At the end of a one-year period, the technician should hold the following applicable certifications: a. Nuclear Safety Certification b. ACI Grade I (Field)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB MAY INCLUDE:
Push a wheel barrow, loaded with concrete, around a construction site with uneven and rutted ground surface.
Lift up to 50 lbs to shoulder height
Climb in/out of the back of a pick-up truck and shallow trenches
Use shovels and picks for digging and sampling
Walk and move around formed areas with rebar in-place and various other obstructions, prior to and during concrete placing activities.
Bend or squat to lift or move around objects on a construction site
Use various hand tools, such as saws, hammers and wrenches
Use specialized equipment for various specific tests after training

Our client, a national maritime supply and service company, is looking to add a Service Technician to their team. This is an hourly role that spends much time traveling the Southeast, Northeast, and occasionally the West Coast.
Qualified candidates will have experience in a Shipyard Test and Trials environment or may have previously been a Senior / Specialty Shipyard Electrician.
This role is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs of various types of valves and actuators, primarily ballast water servicing. Other duties include:
Assemble valve / actuator packages
Perform functional test of all valve / actuator packages
Troubleshoot and repair various types of valve actuators on site (aboard a vessel)
Commissioning equipment at customer site
Communicate warranty issues to manufacturers
Properly document all job functions / instructions
Interface and communicate with customers
Maintain tools and equipment in proper manner
Emphasize safety while carrying out the job functions
This role carries a high level of travel and will generally work overtime. When not traveling, candidate will be expected to work in one of the facilities located in various port cities around the country (whichever one is closest to your home). Generally, you'll be given 12-48 hours notice regarding travel and will work 10-12 hour days while on the road to complete the job.

A qualified candidate will be upbeat, a self-starter, have the flexibility to cover early evening shifts (when needed), and overall have a level of attention to detail that will help to keep the level of quality at a high standard.

There is a rotation to cover the evening shift a few days per week where you would cover 3-4 hours into the night shift, but those additional hours typically come off your Friday time to make up for it (every 2-3 weeks)
Compensation
$15.00 / hour starting pay
Eligible for two increases your first year…once when you roll permanent and another at your annual evaluation
An Inside Manual Machinist fabricates machine components such as shafts, rudder stockers, stern tubes, etc. PLEASE NOTE: THE MACHINIST FABRICATES STEEL WITH MANUAL METAL MILLS, LATHES AND DRILL PRESSES, NOT CNC MACHINES.
Requirements:
Must have at least 1 year of manual/CNC experience. Must be able to operate manual mills, lathe, and drill presses. Able to use measuring tools (dial calipers and micrometers). Able to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and work instructions.
Responsibilities:
Review the work order requirements and drawings, obtain fixtures and tools for preparation.
Set up and operate manual lathes/mills to perform a variety of machining operations.
Use manual tools to drill, tap, polish, lap, debur and degrease.
Working in the barge repair facility in the New Orleans area, the Welder will support the repair operations of this facility from 7:00am until 5:30pm Monday thru Thursday, and 7:00am until 3:30pm on Friday. Candidates should have 3 years or more experience stick welding in a shipyard environment.
All approved candidates will be required to take and pass a stick welding test in the vertical / overhead position on mild steel with one pass root and cap, no grinder.
Additional duties include:
Weld components according to blueprints
Verify components welded meet company tolerances
Daily setup and equipment for each task
Grind and finish all welds
Perform daily maintenance and upkeep to assigned work areas
Attend and participate in daily safety meetings and promote a safe work environment
