Pipe Welder / New Construction – Shipyard
Duties:
– Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications
– Must be able to pass the following weld testing Pipe Welders
- GTAW – 6G, Open Root – Steel
- GTAW – 6G, Open Root – Stainless to Steel
- GTAW – 6G, Open Root – Copper Nickel (CuNi)
- Thin Wall Socket – Carbon Steel to CuNi Pipe
- Thin Wall Socket – Carbon Steel to Stainless Steel Pipe
- Thin Wall Socket – Carbon Steel to Carbon Steel Pipe
- Thin Wall Socket – Stainless Steel to Stainless Steel
- Thin Wall Socket – CuNi to CuNi
- Proven experience as a pipe welder with 5 years' exp. welding CUNI and Stainless
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications
- OSHA MARITIME IS REQUIRED
- MUST PASS A 7 YEAR BACKGROUND CHECK
- MUST PASS A DRUG TEST
- MUST BE CLEAN SHAVEN TO PASS A RESPIRATOR FIT TEST
- Travel and Hotel are offered for this position.
- Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident to qualify for this position.
- PAY IS $33.00 PER HOUR AND $150.00 PER DAY PERDIEM
