Quality Inspector – Pascagoula, MS
- 3 years’ experience as a Quality Inspector for PIPE and Structural
- Pay $32 hour
- $1000 sign on bonus
- Working 40-70 hours
Required experience:
- Knowledge to inspect three (3) or more of the following areas: welding, machining, painting (coating), piping, mechanical, and testing.
- Utilize more than visual inspection and testing techniques, such as NDE inspections including Radiographic film interpretation, Liquid Penetrate Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), or Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging (UT).
- Ability to read and interpret codes and specifications, and advanced blueprint reading.
- Examines materials or products for surface defects, such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds.
- Compares product with parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
- Verifies specified dimensions of product or material, using inspection equipment.
- Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag.
- Test products for structural defects, such as leaks and internal cracks, using water pressure tests.
- Test mechanisms for clearance and freedom of movement.
- Assists the Testing and Trials department personnel with systems testing and sea trials.
- Performs other duties as specified by the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Must be able to work in confined/enclosed spaces.
- Must be able to work/climb in elevations greater than 5’.
- Must be able to wear/work a respirator when applicable.
- Works overtime as required.
- Reports to work daily and on time.
- Must be a US Citizen or Perm Resident.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Clean Shaven for a fit test.
